Difficulty Level: Intermediate
You Will Need:
  • A plain white card (C6)
  • Spare card (to cut the '6' and '0' out of)
  • Silver gel pen
  • Pink handmade patterned paper and pink 'Happy Birthday' paper
  • Two small circular pink faux gems
  • Spray on glue (I used 3M's Spray Mount)
  • Foam squares
  • PVC glue
  • Scissors or a craft knife
  • Pencil

How To Make This On Line Card Making Idea For A 60th Birthday

  1. Tear it! Carefully tear a wide strip from the pink and white 'Happy Birthday' paper (approximately 7cm high). Tear a slightly thinner strip from the deep pink-colored handmade paper (4-5cm tall). All strips should span the width of your card (approximately 10cm), and their edges should be neatly trimmed with scissors or a craft knife.
  2. On Line Card Making Ideas - 60th BirthdaySpray-Glue It! Spray-glue and then stick the pink and white 'Happy Birthday' paper onto the card first. Then spray-glue and stick the deep pink-colored handmade paper along the center of the strip.
  3. Draw It! Draw out a '6' and an '0' onto your spare card. Alternatively, use your computer to print out '60' (use a large, bold font) and then transfer the numbers onto the spare card using carbon paper.
  4. Tip: Remember to transfer the numbers so that they will read the right way when you turn the card over!
  5. Spray-Glue It! Spray glue some of the pink and white 'Happy Birthday' paper onto the other side of the spare card.
  6. Cut It Out! Carefully cut out the numbers.
  7. Outline It! Sketch round the numbers using your gel pen. To add a bit of character, don't be too neat! paper greeting cards 60th birthday
  8. Gems! Use your PVC glue to stick the pink faux gems in place onto the numbers.
